Up until last week, Brazilians were able to track their significant others thanks to a smartphone app called the “Boyfriend Tracker.” The popular app promised users to act as a "private detective in your partner’s pocket," and allowed suspicious lovers to receive tracking updates on their partner’s whereabouts.
The app also allowed them to receive duplicates of their text messages. It also allowed users "to force the target phone to silently call their own, like a pocket dial, so that they could listen in on what the person was saying." Google has now removed the app from its store after complaints about privacy abuses and the software’s potential to be used for extortion or even stalking.
Well I don't know about you...but to me, that's just creepy and would constitute an IMMEDIATE and permanent break-up. What would you do if you found out your boyfriend or girlfriend had somehow installed this app on your phone?
A new app being launched next week is looking to streamline the process of finding someone down to do the dirty. Unlike other "dating" apps that use photos, "Pure" has no option to chat with the person ahead of time. You merely upload a picture of yourself, specify your gender and preference, and then look at other users' pics. You can select either "okay" or "no way." If you both select "okay," then they either come to your place or vice versa and get it on. "We wanted an easy way to find sex, basically," Pure co-creator Roman Sidorenko explained. A "day pass" for Pure will cost $9.99, which will allow unlimited requests for sex for 24 hours.
So, in MY mind, this begs the question: What could POSSIBLY go wrong?!
Pop artists are no strangers to calling it quits -- or threatening to do so, at least. Many of the musicians who declare their exits from the business make swift returns to the stage or the studio. Here's a look at 10 artists who, at one point or another, said they were done making music.
Chris Brown. The R&B singer recently declared he was going to quit the music business because he was "tired of being famous for a mistake." That mistake being beating up then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Jay Z. After 2003's The Black Album the hip-hop star announced his retirement with a charity concert at Madison Square Garden. He spent three years working on side projects before fully returning with 2006's Kingdom Come.
Cher. She's come and gone with more regularity than cicadas. However, in 2005, she embarked on Living Proof: The Farewell Tour. Three years later, she began a residence at Caesar's Palace.
Phil Collins. The former Genesis frontman announced his retirement in 2011 to address health concerns. He's still laying low, while watching daughter Lily climb the Hollywood ladder.
Barbra Streisand. Streisand fans paid top dollar to enjoy one last glimpse of Babs on her 1999-2000 Timeless farewell tour. She launched another lucrative tour in 2006 and again in 2012.
Ma$e. Hearing a "calling from God" in 1999, Ma$e gave up his rap career for the ministry. Five years later, he returned with a cleaner image and comeback album Welcome Back.
Garth Brooks. Garth Brooks was the reigning king of country music when he gave up recording and performing in 2000 to concentrate on raising his daughters. It would be nine years before he reemerged with a weekend residency at Encore Las Vegas.
50 Cent. Rapper 50 Cent vowed to quit if Kanye West's Graduation topped his album Curtis their first week out. It was, he later admitted, just a publicity stunt.
David Bowie. Ziggy Stardust never officially retired, but in 2006 announced he was stepping back from performing and recording. It'd be seven years before he made his surprise return earlier this year with the album The Next Day.
Toni Braxton. R&B singer Toni Braxton announced earlier this year she was quitting music to focus on acting. That didn't last long. She's now announced a collaboration with Babyface called Love, Marriage and Divorce which will be out this fall.
Let this list serve as a lesson. An artist will only threaten to quit in order to earn MORE money upon their return. Read More HERE
What does it take to feed a Beyontourage? Apparently 48 whole chickens, 58 chicken-wing platters, 24 tubs of cole slaw and 48 order of fries. That's what's Beyonce ordered from the British chicken chain Nando's following a performance at the V Festival outside of London Saturday night. The receipt for the order was posted to Twitter, and the chicken shop's manager has confirmed that the order was called in by Bey's peeps. Total price? Nearly $2,350, and the receipt shows the order was paid for in cash.
So, I gotta know...what's the most expensive item you've ever paid for in cash?
Rihanna may want to take cover under her umbrella-ella-ella for awhile, as a survey of 20,000 HuffPost Celebrity readers has named her the most annoying celebrity on Instagram. Fans said it was her overexposure -- how many pics she posts, and how little clothing she usually wears in them -- that earned her the #1 spot on their Top 5 list, which also included Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, Amanda Bynes and Justin Bieber. Rihanna, whose Instagram account is named "badgalriri," was also chided for looking "half-baked" in many of her shots.
Dating can be hard, especially if you're not an outgoing person. Some of the nicest people in the world and perhaps THE ONE for you could be there - you'd just never know because they're probably too shy to tell you. Well, a new product designed by Danish-British entrepreneuers Rina Mardahl and Rob Young hope to end all the mystery.
A Facebook "relationship status" can be helpful, but what happens when you're out in public? How do you announce your status without being a total creeper by standing on the barstool and screaming "HEY, I'M SINGLE!"? The answer is simple. Ya wear one of the bracelets pictured above and BOOM! Word is out that you're single!

93.1 Jamz ALWAYS has that new music for ya before you can hear it anywhere else. Now we have the latest from Drake called "Hold On We're Going Home". This song sounds a lot like "Find Your Love", which is one of my favorites. Don't get me wrong, I like Drake when he's rappin, but I like to see many sides of an arist.
Drake's new album Nothing Was the Same will be released on September 17th. Recently, he teased his Twitter followers with the following tweet...
"Would You Like Some New Music?"
I mean...is that even a real question? The answer being an obvious "YES!".
So he tweeted out a link that sent his followers to a Soundcloud page with 4 tracks, all of which will be on the new album, but none of which were the song he released to radio today. Listen to it ON DEMAND below!
