Juicy Organics’ Journey and Impact in Madison CommunityandCulture
Madtown’s heartbeat is community—and no one embodies that more than Cory, the powerhouse behind Juicy Organics and the Black Men Coalition of Dane County.
From creating upscale plant-based experiences to providing free baseball leagues for hundreds of kids, Cory is proving that wellness, empowerment, and equity can live on the same block.
A Decade in the Making: Juicy Organics Goes Brick-and-Mortar
After years of building a brand presence at events like the CrossFit Games, Juicy Organics officially opened its doors at 5 N. Pinckney Street in downtown Madison. More than just a juice bar, this elevated health bar serves up over 100 organic teas, flavorful vegan dishes, gluten-free pizzas, and nutrient-packed smoothies—with a vibe that feels more like a lounge in LA than a shop in the Midwest.
“We wanted to create something grown,” Cory said. “Whether you’re on your lunch break or winding down at 1 a.m., we’ve got you.”
And that’s not just talk. Juicy Organics is open until 1:30 a.m. on weekends, providing a late-night, healthy alternative with delivery available citywide.

More Than a Smoothie: Wellness with a Mission
Cory and his partner Ashanti built Juicy Organics with community at its core. The shop hires individuals referred from the Dane County Jail, training them in business operations through a partnership with the Black Men Coalition of Dane County (BMCDC).
“From front door to back door, we teach them how to run the business,” Cory said. “We’re offering real second chances and creating pathways out of incarceration.”
Their mission: meet people where they are—then level them up.
Free Baseball, Real Impact: 400+ Kids Playing Without Limits
If you haven’t heard about the BMCDC Youth Baseball League, you’re missing one of the most impactful programs in the 608. Now entering its fourth year, the league is 100% free for boys and girls ages 4–12. That means no cost for uniforms, gloves, bats, or registration. Every Saturday in June and July, Elver Park transforms into a field of dreams for hundreds of young athletes.
“This isn’t just baseball. This is mentorship, teamwork, and generational change.”
Even more inspiring? The gear is donated by Mine Bats, a premium bat company out of Kentucky that was so moved by the mission, they jumped in unprompted.
