Tory Lanez Stabbed 14 Times in Prison: What We Know So Far

In a stunning development, rapper Tory Lanez has reportedly been stabbed 14 times while incarcerated. Early reports said the injuries were non-life-threatening, but an Instagram post from Lanez’s team paints a much grimmer picture. The artist suffered seven stab wounds to his back, four to his torso, two to the back of his head, and one to the side of his face—ultimately resulting in the collapse of both lungs. He was placed on a breathing machine but is now miraculously able to breathe and speak on his own.

Just days ago, Tory was sharing photos of a new, muscular physique and promoting new music. Despite being locked up, his dedication to fans remained high. Now, the focus has shifted to his recovery and the unanswered questions swirling around this brutal attack. Who did it? Why? And how does something this savage happen in prison?

Tory’s camp has yet to confirm whether he will return to the same facility or be transferred. With the level of violence he endured, a relocation seems not just likely—but necessary.

Stay tuned as more details emerge.

YNW Melly Denied Bond Again: What’s Next in His Double Murder Case

YNW Melly is still behind bars—and it doesn’t look like that’s changing anytime soon. The Florida rapper, born Jamell Demons, was denied bond for a third time on May 12, as he awaits a retrial for the 2018 murders of his two friends and fellow YNW crew members, Christopher Thomas Jr. and Anthony Williams. Prosecutors allege he staged the scene to appear like a drive-by shooting.

Despite his defense team offering house arrest and claiming he’s been subjected to “inhumane” conditions—such as years in isolation with no phone calls, visits, or even access to sunlight—the court ruled there’s “no basis for release.”

Melly’s retrial is set for September 2025, and if convicted, he could face the death penalty. In the meantime, he’s also suing the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, claiming his constitutional rights have been violated through extreme isolation and psychological pressure.

With his mental and physical health in question, legal battles piling up, and new allegations of witness tampering, YNW Melly’s situation is looking more intense than ever.

Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Luther’ Breaks Records: 12 Weeks at No. 1 and Counting

Kendrick Lamar is solidifying his legacy as one of hip-hop’s greatest. His latest hit, “Luther” featuring SZA, just made Billboard Hot 100 history. The song has now topped the chart for 12 consecutive weeks—making it the longest-running No. 1 track by co-billed male and female solo artists. This breaks the record previously held by Diddy and Faith Evans’ 1997 hit, “I’ll Be Missing You.”

Beyond that, “Luther” now holds the title of the biggest hip-hop single of the decade, surpassing Roddy Ricch’s “The Box.” With over 65 million radio impressions and nearly 20 million streams in the latest tracking week, the song’s reign doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

Kendrick’s accomplishments don’t stop with streaming. His Grand National Tour—co-headlined by SZA—also just made history. The April 26 show at AT&T Stadium in Texas grossed $11.822 million, breaking The Weeknd’s previous record for the highest-grossing single-night show by a Black male artist. Earlier, Kendrick also broke Eminem’s record for the highest-grossing rap concert of all time with a $9.1 million opening night in Minneapolis.

From radio dominance to touring milestones, Kendrick Lamar is setting the bar sky-high.
