🚲 Ride the Drive 2025 Returns: Madison’s Biggest Streetside Festival is Back!

Mark your calendars! Ride the Drive 2025 is taking over Madison once again on Sunday, August 10, transforming city streets into a car-free, community-powered celebration you won’t want to miss.

With over 15,000 people attending last year, this event stretches across McPike Park, Olin Park, and Law Park, creating one continuous zone of family-friendly activities, live music, local food carts, vendors, and all kinds of biking, skating, and strolling fun. Whether you’re rolling through with the crew or bringing the whole fam, this is the summer event Madison waits for.

Beyond showing up, you can help make the magic happen! Ride the Drive is now recruiting volunteers for a variety of key roles. Most shifts are just two hours, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the day too.

Volunteer roles include:

• Intersection Guides

• Setup & Cleanup Crews

• Bike Ambassadors

• Info Station Guides

Volunteers get a free Ride the Drive t-shirt, complimentary snacks, and the pride of helping run one of the most exciting community events in Madison.

• Festival Hours: 10 AM – 2 PM

• Street Closures: 8 AM – 3 PM

How to Sign Up:

1. Review the volunteer role descriptions and choose a position or positions that work for you.
2. Click Browse Opportunities and Register Online
3. Enter the requested contact information, select “Register” and you will receive an email confirmation.
4. Report to your registered location and time on Sunday, August 10 to meet a Madison Parks staff member, receive further instructions and pick up your free, RTD t-shirt!
