Shannon Sharpe Apologizes to Nicki Minaj After Getting Torched on “Banned from NO”
Shannon Sharpe just went from “Nicki who?” to “Please forgive me” after catching lyrical heat from the Queen herself. Nicki Minaj’s barbed verse on her new track “Banned from NO” had the former NFL star doing some major damage control.
In a recent episode of his Nightcap show, Sharpe explained that his now-viral “Nicki who?” comment was actually aimed at politician Nikki Haley—not the chart-topping rapper. “Nicki, I apologize,” he said. “I meant no disrespect. You’ll always have an open invitation.”
The lyric—”If I send a pic of Shannon, you ain’t that Sharpe”—cut deep enough to earn a full on-air apology and an invite for either a sit-down or private convo.
But Minaj didn’t stop there. She went in on JAY-Z and the NFL too, slamming them for skipping Lil Wayne for this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. Her critique? JAY-Z took the bag and keeps everyone else in line.
Queen Nicki had time—and she’s not sparing anyone.
