Trump Calls Immigrants ‘The Enemy From Within’ As His Admin Threatens Democracy
Donald Trump has once again weaponized fear, turning a meeting with military leaders into a stage for authoritarian rhetoric. At Marine Corps Base Quantico, he branded immigrants, criminals, and protesters the “enemy from within.” For a nation founded on immigration, people escaping England’s grip for freedom, this message is both dangerous and shameful.
He didn’t stop there. Trump suggested America’s “dangerous cities” could double as military training grounds, threatening Chicago as an example. The generals’ silence spoke volumes, they know this isn’t about national security, it’s about consolidating power and intimidating Americans at home.
As if that weren’t enough, Trump ranted about not winning the Nobel Peace Prize, calling it an insult to the nation. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth then piled on with promises to erase “woke culture” in the military, weaken protections, and force a harsher environment. The message was crystal clear, fall in line or get out.
This administration’s agenda is not just misguided, it’s a direct attack on democracy and the American people. The United States was built by immigrants, on the promise of freedom. To hear leaders twist that legacy into justification for authoritarian control is both disgusting and dangerous.
