Rod Wave Hit With $27 Million Lawsuit Over “Last Lap” Tour
Rod Wave’s “Last Lap” tour has turned into a legal nightmare. The Florida rapper is being sued for $27 million by Grizzly Touring, which accuses him of breaching a multimillion-dollar contract and spending advance payments on luxury instead of fulfilling his obligations. According to court documents, Grizzly claims it fronted more than $57 million for tour expenses, guaranteeing Rod Wave $40.25 million, but the artist delivered just 26 of the 35 contracted shows. The promoter says Rod pocketed the money and refused to pay back the $27 million owed, while also attempting to promote his own concerts in violation of an exclusivity clause.
Grizzly’s attorney argues that production delays and cancellations were Rod’s responsibility, while Rod’s team insists the contract was invalid due to scheduling changes. The lawsuit demands repayment, damages, and a court order preventing Rod from launching new tours without Grizzly. If upheld, this case could reshape how major artists and promoters handle multimillion-dollar deals in the live music industry.
