Ja Rule Says Drake Doesn’t Need Advice Amid Kendrick Lamar Feud, Takes Another Swipe At 50 Cent

Ja Rule has been in more than his share of rap battles, but even he knows when to step back and let the next generation handle their own smoke. During a recent appearance on the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast with Carmelo Anthony, the New York rapper was asked what advice he’d offer Drake while the Toronto hitmaker continues trading shots with Kendrick Lamar.

His answer? None.

“Why I gotta advise Drake? Why can’t I advise Kendrick?” Ja laughed. “Drake don’t need no advice. Drake is rich, got a big plane. What we talking about Drake for, man? That dude chilling.”

It’s a classic Ja moment, equal parts humor and confidence. And while he gave Drake props for living well above the drama, he couldn’t resist drawing attention back to his own legendary rap beef history. After all, Ja and 50 Cent have been locked in a war of words for more than twenty years, with no signs of peace in sight.

Earlier this year, Ja took to X to remind everyone who’s still performing and collecting checks. “Imagine trying to clown someone currently on tour making six figures a show,” he wrote in response to fans trying to hype 50’s European dates. And when a commenter said 50’s tour sold out, Ja fired back, “Ain’t nobody coming to see you Otis… I mean Curtis.”

50 later answered with his own signature sarcasm, but Ja stayed unbothered, still posting performance clips and letting his numbers speak.

So while Drake and Kendrick keep their lyrical war going, Ja Rule’s watching from his private lane, happy to let the new school handle it. After all, the man who survived 50 Cent’s prime knows that sometimes the best move in beef is staying above it.
