Nicki Minaj is back in headlines for all the wrong reasons and this time the fallout could hit her real estate. A Los Angeles judge says she is prepared to order the sale of Nicki’s twenty million dollar mansion after the rapper failed to respond to a lawsuit and left a half million dollar judgment sitting unpaid. The case comes from a German security guard who says Nicki and Kenneth Petty physically attacked him backstage in twenty twenty one. According to court documents he suffered a brutal jaw injury that required multiple surgeries including the placement of five metal plates and donor bone while doctors prepare for future implants. When Nicki and Petty never answered the suit the court handed the guard a default judgment worth five hundred three thousand three hundred eighteen dollars. But collecting on celebrities is rarely simple. After years without payment the guard asked Los Angeles Superior Court to force a sale of Nicki’s estate and use the proceeds to satisfy the judgment. During a recent hearing the judge said her tentative ruling is to approve the request. The only missing piece is a statement from Bank of America confirming how much of the mortgage Nicki still owes. Once that document lands the judge is expected to finalize her decision during the January twenty two hearing. If the ruling stands Nicki’s mansion could hit the market as part of a court ordered sale. For a superstar who built an empire that kind of headline is the last thing she needs but this judgment is not going away. The next few weeks will determine whether the house goes with it.
