Thursday April 23rd, Termanology Returns to Madison for Majestic Theater Show with Jay Electronica
Hip hop fans in Madison are in for a major night as Termanology hits the stage at Majestic Theatre on Thursday, April 23, alongside Jay Electronica as part of the 19 Day Reconnaissance Tour.
After nearly a decade away from Wisconsin, Termanology is making his long-awaited return, and he made it clear, this one is overdue. “I haven’t been back to Wisconsin in about 10 years,” he shared during a recent interview. “It’s long overdue. I’m excited to be here.”
Termanology’s career spans more than 20 years, with a catalog that speaks for itself. Since his breakout single “Watch How I Go Down” with DJ Premier in 2006, he has toured over 40 countries, released more than 60 projects, and collaborated with some of the biggest names in hip hop.
“Being independent and still relevant for 20-plus years, that’s what separates me,” he explained.
His consistency and global reach have made him a respected name in hip hop circles, and his deep catalog means fans can expect a performance packed with energy and history.
What to Expect at the Majestic Theater Show
Fans pulling up to the Majestic can expect a full set from Termanology, including around 20 tracks, plus appearances from special guests and his touring crew.
“I’m going to come up there and body it,” he said. “It’s going to be a good night.”
This stop on the tour is especially unique, as it marks one of the first times Termanology and Jay Electronica will share the stage together, bringing two distinct styles and fanbases into one room for a rare live experience.
New Music on the Way
Termanology also hinted at what’s next, revealing an upcoming album with Paul Wall dropping August 14. The project marks their third collaboration, adding to an already extensive list of joint records.
With over 40 songs each alongside Paul Wall and Bun B, Terminology continues to build strong connections across regions and generations of hip hop.
More Than the Highlight Reel
While fans often see the glamorous side of the industry, Termanology kept it real about the grind behind the scenes.
“People see the highlight reel,” he said. “But when the cameras are off, you’re still a dad, you still have responsibilities. If people understood how hard it is, they’d respect artists even more.”
That authenticity is part of what has kept him relevant for over two decades, and what continues to connect with fans worldwide.
Don’t Miss the Show
The 19 Day Reconnaissance Tour stops in Madison for one night only on Thursday, April 23 at the Majestic Theater. With Termanology, Jay Electronica, and special guests all on the bill, this is set to be one of the most talked-about hip hop shows in the city this year.
