Madison’s independent hip hop scene was on full display as JEXIZIS joined DJ Fusion for another unforgettable edition of Local Love Live, recorded at Madison Extracts.
The evening featured much more than an interview. Backed by a live keyboard player, JEXIZIS blended hip hop, spoken word, and high energy performance into a show that had the studio buzzing. From intimate storytelling to explosive moments that literally had him jumping off the couch during his set, JEXIZIS proved why he’s one of the most exciting emerging artists in the 608.
During the interview with DJ Fusion, JEXIZIS discusses his journey from Madison Poet Laureate to the nationally recognized First Wave program at UW Madison, performing at The Sylvee, the inspiration behind his music, and his mission to create opportunities for the next generation of artists through community instead of competition.
