Enchanted Forest & Hollywood Hayride

Get ready for a family-friendly fall tradition when Enchanted Forest & Hollywood Hayride returns to Palmer Park, Janesville from October 8-11, 2025. This event is the perfect way to celebrate the season with a magical walk, spooky-fun hayride, live performances, and more.

  • Enchanted Forest: A narrated, candle-lit walk through Palmer Park’s hillside, featuring acted scenes from popular fairytales, nursery rhymes, and children’s books.

  • Hollywood Hayride: Hop aboard a wagon ride through movie- and TV-themed sets. At each stop, local actors perform short skits; riders receive small trinkets to remember the fun.

  • Goblin Games & Free Barrel Rides: Before or after your stroll/hayride, enjoy carnival-style games, take a free barrel ride courtesy of the Optimist Club, and soak up fall vibes with friends and family.

  • Location: Palmer Park, 2501 Palmer Drive, Janesville, WI

  • Admission: Roughly $3 per person for both the Enchanted Forest walk and the Hollywood Hayride. Games may have separate or small ticket-fees.

  • Parking & Format: Cash-only for tickets; free parking is available. The event is designed as a walk + ride combo so you can pace yourself.

  • It’s non-scary and family-friendly—great for younger kids or anyone who’d prefer Halloween fun without the frights.

  • Combines immersive storytelling, visual creativity (sets, actors), and outdoor atmosphere—perfect fall photo ops.

  • Offers multiple things to enjoy—walks, rides, games—so even if one thing isn’t your favorite, there’s something else to make it special.

  • Helps support local Janesville arts & recreation, actors, volunteers, and businesses involved.

  1. Arrive early: The park can get busy around start time. Early arrival gives time for parking, getting tickets, and enjoying pre-ride games.

  2. Dress for the weather: Evenings in October can be chilly. Layers, comfortable walking shoes, maybe a light jacket will help.

  3. Bring snacks or plan ahead for dinner: You might want something warm before or after—check out nearby restaurants in Janesville.

  4. Cash on hand: Some parts (ticket booths, games) may not take cards.

  5. Camera ready: Scenic stops, candlelight, themed sets = great memories and photos.
