Celebrate Wisconsin’s Hip-Hop Legacy at the “Lead Between the Rhymes” Cultural Exhibit
Experience over 50 years of Wisconsin’s dynamic hip-hop culture at the “Lead Between the Rhymes – Wisconsin Hip-Hop Cultural Exhibit,” opening May 30, 2025, at the US Bank Plaza, 1 S Pinckney St, Madison, WI. This groundbreaking exhibit, a collaboration between Pyramidal Productions and the Wisconsin Historical Society, honors the state’s rich hip-hop history through interactive displays, rare artifacts, and educational installations.
Exhibit Highlights:

Explore the five foundational elements of hip-hop: DJing, MC-ing, breakdancing, graffiti art, and knowledge.

View a curated collection of artifacts and memorabilia chronicling Wisconsin’s hip-hop scene.

Engage with educational installations and recorded oral histories from pioneering local artists and cultural influencers.

Witness the unveiling of “Madtown Marauders,” a unique 3D lenticular art installation inspired by A Tribe Called Quest’s iconic album cover, featuring key figures from Madison’s hip-hop community.
The exhibit will be on display through September 19, 2025, before transitioning to the Wisconsin Historical Society’s headquarters at 816 State Street, Madison, in the fall.
