The Wisconsin Grown-Up Book Fair is returning to The Sylvee in Madison on January 25, 2025.
This event recreates the nostalgia of childhood book fairs, offering a curated selection of books from local and independent booksellers, including A Room of One’s Own, Mystery To Me, Leopold’s, Lake City Books, The Book Deal, and Madison Paperbacks.
In addition to books, attendees can explore offerings from various vendors such as Mint Picks (vintage clothing), Miggy’s Bakes (baked goods), The Artistry Studio (art/prints/stickers), and more.
The event features three sessions: 9:00 am to 11:30 am, 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm, and 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Each ticket includes a Grown-Up Book Fair tote bag, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Madison Public Library Foundation.
While the event is open to all ages, it is tailored for adults and may not always be kid-friendly. Attendees can enjoy specialty cocktails while browsing, enhancing the grown-up experience.
Please note that The Sylvee has a cashless policy; only credit, debit, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are accepted. Bags up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″ are allowed and will be searched upon entry.
