Urban Triage & Trauma Post Slavery ~ #CCA #BHM

Brandi Grayson is known to be an outspoken woman in the Madison community.

In 2014 She founded Urban Triage to empower Black families while mobilizing community resources and distributing them to those most in need.

Urban Triage empowers Black families while mobilizing community resources and distributing them to those most in need. The philosophy is to show up where most needed. The foundation and mission is the transformation of education in the community with a human approach. An array of services are offered at Urban Triage that include covid relief efforts, housing and homeless outreach, and essential supports like rent assistance.

“Black businesses are the foundation for Black economic empowerment, we need to keep those doors open.”

-Brandi Grayson

In the face of this pandemic, many Black businesses are having a hard time staying open. Urban Triage raises funds to support Black businesses in whatever ways they are needed.  Urban Triage community impact and accomplishments would not be possible without the love and sacrifices made by you, our community. They are a community nonprofit; funded by the people, for the people!

Over the month of February, DJ Fusion will connect with unique, local, Black-owned businesses, each of whom will share a piece of Black history that is personal to them or something that may not have been taught, traditionally, in schools.
